Warrior Chant October 2024
More and more throughout the country we are seeing an increase in threats to schools. Glenpool Public Schools continues to work locally with the Glenpool Police Department to ensure that our students are protected and safe while at school.
We continue to take all threats seriously and work closely with Glenpool Police if any threat is reported. We have School Resource Officers who are on campus everyday and continually patrol and monitor the school.
We appreciate your ongoing conversations with your children regarding making any sort of threat and school safety. It is important to understand the consequences of false threats or accusations. Making a false threat will result in serious school discipline and potential legal consequences. Please take time to have conversations with your children about the seriousness of this topic and that all threats are treated as credible until investigations deem them otherwise. Making any sort of threat creates a safety concern for all students in that building.
We continue to remind our students, parents, and staff to continue the great job they are doing in reporting any suspicious or threatening activity to school officials.
Respectfully,
Curtis Layton, Superintendent of Schools
