Cierra Keigley and Matthew Maier

December Students of the Month

Cierra Keigley

Cierra is the daughter of Kendra & Tim Keigley. While in high school, Cierra has been involved in Student Council (Vice President) and NHS. Outside of school, Cierra is on The Vault Dance Space, a competitive dance team, and works part-time at Ron's Hamburgers in Glenpool. Cierra is a dual credit student with TCC and will graduate with 32 credits hours. After high school, Cierra plans to attend OSU and major in Pre-Professional Applied Exercise Science. Her goal is to become a Sports Medicine Physician.

Matthew Maier

Matthew is the son of Brenda & James Maier. While in high school, Matthew has been involved in GHS Dungeons & Dragons club (founding member), Archery (Captain), eSports, NHS, Varsity Academic team, and Alumni of HOBY Leadership Conference 2023. Matthew is a dual credit student with TCC and will graduate with 50 credits hours. After high school, Matthew plans to attend OU where he will major in mechanical engineering while studying Japanese on the side. He would also like to found an archery club, because OU doesn't currently offer one.

Sydney Knipe and Caleb McDowell

November Students of the Month

Caleb McDowell

Caleb is the son of Tammy McDowell & Brannen McDowell. While in high school, Caleb has been involved in Marching Band, (MEOBDA honor band 2 years), Soccer, NHS, and church youth group. Caleb was chosen as a student representative for making the Continuous Improvement Plan for GHS. Caleb is a dual credit student with TCC and will graduate with 18 credits hours. After high school, Caleb plans to attend college and study mechanical engineering.

Sydney Knipe

Sydney is the daughter of Mindy & Randy Nickerson. While in high school, Sydney has been involved in academics (top of her class), Cross Country, Winter Guard (State Champions 2022), Color Guard, Golf, and NHS. Sydney is a dual credit student with TCC and will graduate with 21 credits hours. After high school, Sydney plans to attend a four year university where she would like to major in Media Studies or Education before earning her master's degree in Library Science. Sydney hopes to work as a children's librarian in the future.

Abbey Runnels and Switzer McGeeley

October Students of the Month

Switzer McGeeley

Switzer is the son of Kendall & Tim McGeeley. While in high school, Switzer has been involved in Student Council (President), NASA, golf, and football. Switzer is a dual credit student with TCC and will graduate with 24 credits hours. After high school, Switzer hasn't decided where he will attend college, but plans to major in Business Administration.

Abbey Runnels

Abbey is the daughter of Teresa & Jack Runnels. While in high school, Abbey has been involved in NASA, FCCLA (PR Officer), NHS, Student Council, Glenpool HS Safety and Wellness Committee, softball (manager), and she is 2024-2025 Miss Indian Tulsa. After high school, Abbey plans to attend OSU and major in Sports Medicine.

Braelyn Bradley and Levi Dawes

September Students of the Month

Braelyn Bradley

Braelyn is the daughter of Brian & Traci Bradley. While in high school, Braelyn has participated in Student Council, Special Olympics as a coach, and is an athletic trainer for football, basketball, and soccer. Braelyn also enjoys her involvement in church and many leadership activities. Braelyn is a dual credit TCC student and will graduate high school with 30 credit hours. She also attends Tulsa Tech. Braelyn plans to major in exercise science in college with a goal to become an athletic trainer or physical therapist.

Levi Dawes

Levi is the son of Shannon West. While in high school, Levi has been involved in Mask & Gavel (speech, theatre, and stagecraft). He went to state with a duet and made it the finals. He also mentors new students, teaching them to act on stage and build sets. He is also involved in esports (where he also made it to state), football, NHS, and Student Council. Levi is a dual credit student with TCC and will graduate with 24 credits hours. After high school, Levi plans to complete his Associate's degree at TCC. Then he is considering interests as an entrepreneurship, a pilot, the medical field, or an actor.

OERB Student Board

Hayden Meyes

Hayden Meyers has been selected as one of 30 high school juniors and seniors to join the 2024-2025 OERB Student Board of Directors. After completion of the program Hayden will be eligible for a $2,000 scholarship to the tech school or college of her choice.
