Three Actions to Fight the Flu
Should a student stay home from School?
Glenpool district policy states "a student having a temperature of 100o or above or shows ANY COVID-19 symptoms (cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea) will be isolated and a parent or guardian will be required to pick the student up IMMEDIATELY. A student will not be allowed to return to school until they are fever free for 24 hours without medication, any other COVID-19 symptoms have improved, and it has been 10 days since the symptoms (fever included) first appeared OR the student has written permission by a physician stating that the student is cleared to return to school. This list of symptoms is not comprehensive." Students who are not able to attend school in person will be placed on Distance Learning Plan until it has been 10 days since the symptoms (fever included) first appeared, symptoms have improved and the student is fever free for 24 hours without medication, OR the student has written permission by a physician stating that the student is cleared to return to school. The school nurse will communicate with parents regarding each student's return date. Teachers will communicate with students about distance learning.

Board Approved Plan is now Published
The primary goal is the safety of students and staff and all decisions have been made with that focus at the forefront. The second goal was to provide educational choices for each family by offering traditional and virtual school enrollment through Glenpool Schools. As a district, our plan follows the guidance provided to each Oklahoma District from the OK State Board of Education, the CDC, the Oklahoma State Health Department and the Tulsa County Health Department.
