Diana Wright has been an educator for Glenpool Public Schools for 11 years. She previously retired from teaching from Texas after establishing a 30 year career in the Wichita Falls School District where she was awarded the honor of Teacher of the Year as well. She is an Oklahoma State University graduate with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She also received a master’s degree from Midwestern State University in Reading. She currently serves as the Reading Specialist for the Lower Elementary. To help better serve the students she works with, Ms. Wright has attended many professional development opportunities including Literacy First, Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, and 4MAT training. Ms. Wright’s colleagues chose her as their site teacher of the year because “she always goes above and beyond to help any of her colleagues. She is always sharing research based reading strategies with other teachers to ensure all of our students are learning and growing. She is the first to volunteer for anything that needs to be done and works tirelessly to ensure that our students are on their way to becoming strong readers.” Ms. Wright has one son Mason who is a physician’s assistant in Corpus Christi. Mason and his wife recently had their first child, Evie and Ms. Wright is over the moon to be a Gigi for the first time.

Upper Elementary: Elisabeth Craig
Elisabeth Craig has been an educator for 14 years spending the last 2 years at Glenpool Upper Elementary. She serves as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for her site. She has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from Baylor University and a master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Gifted and Talented from the University of Connecticut. At her previous school, Mrs. Craig was a teacher of the year finalist in 2019 and 2022. In only her second year at Glenpool Public Schools, Mrs. Craig has already made a lasting impact on her site and the district. She was the February 2024 District Educator of the month and also serves on many committees such as the Gifted and Talented Committee and the Garden Committee. She has also worked tirelessly in restructuring our gifted program by looking at all aspects of GT ensuring we have a comprehensive program that addresses the needs of all students throughout the district. In addition to her daily teaching duties, Ms. Craig helps to produce the Warrior News Network which provides her site with student led daily announcements. In order to provide her students with the latest teaching strategies, Ms. Craig has attended workshops in many topics such as Unpacking Inquiry to Support Learners, Visual Thinking Strategies, and the Social and Emotional Needs of Gifted Learners. Ms. Craig’s colleagues chose her as their site teacher of the year because “the impact that Ms. Craig has had on our gifted students is awe inspiring. Her ability to foster her students’ creativity and critical thinking skills is admirable and amazing.” Mrs. Craig and her husband Doug are proud parents to four boys Aidan, Brendan, Cullen, and Evan. Aidan and Brendan have graduated from college and started exciting careers. Cullen is a junior at The University of Dallas and Evan is a freshman at Kansas State University.

Intermediate: Jody Carr
Jody Carr has been an educator at Glenpool for the past 8 years. Before her time at Glenpool, she also served as a paraprofessional. Mrs. Carr serves as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator for her site and teaches 6th grade STEM. Mrs. Carr is an Oklahoma State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Carr serves on the Community Service Committee, Superintendent Advisory Committee, and is a Student Advisory Council Sponsor. Mrs. Carr has received grants to provide her students with hands-on learning opportunities from the Muscogee Creek Nation and the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance. She was named the Impactful Teacher of the Month by Channel 6 in 2019 and was the January Glenpool District Educator of the Month in 2024. Mrs. Carr’s colleagues chose her as their site teacher of the year because “her dedication to teaching inspires all that know her. She always has a smile on her face and her diligence to providing her students with engaging lessons is admirable.” Mrs. Carr and her husband have been married for almost 29 years. They have 5 children ranging in ages from 18 to 27 and 4 amazing grandchildren.

Middle School: Mattie Langford
Mattie Langford has been an educator for 5 years spending all of those years at Glenpool Middle School. She is an Oklahoma State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education. She currently teaches 7th English Language Arts. In addition to her teaching duties, Mrs. Langford also serves as a student council sponsor and helps to organize events for her site. She is a member of the Technology Grant Learning Team. She has received several awards during her career including Traveling Trophies which she was nominated for by her colleagues. Her colleagues chose Ms. Langford as their site teacher of the year because “of their admiration for her welcoming smile, positive interactions, and the creative, engaging lessons she brings to her classroom every day. Her passion for education and commitment to excellence make her a true gem to GMS.” Mrs. Langford and her husband Andrew have a one year son named Anderson who they call Sonny. Along with Andrew and Sonny, Mrs. Langford is extremely close to her parents and sister who have all helped her achieve her dream of becoming a teacher.

High School: Whitney Rogers
Whitney Rogers has been an educator for 18 years spending the last 17 years at Glenpool Public Schools. She has taught at the Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School during her 18 years in our district. She currently teaches Math of Finance, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2. Ms. Rogers has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from ECU. In addition to her teaching duties, Ms. Rogers also serves as the High School Math Team Leader and the High School Site Induction Coordinator for new teachers. She is a member of the Hospitality, School Spirit, and District Calendar Committees. She tutors students after school and is in charge of before and after school detention at the high school. During her career at Glenpool, she has been Glenpool District Educator of the Month five times and was the 2012-2013 Upper Elementary Teacher of the Year. Ms. Rogers was chosen by her colleagues as their site teacher of the year because “she is always going above and beyond to ensure that her students are learning. She tutors struggling students after school and does anything she can to meet all of her students’ individual needs.” Ms. Rogers is a Glenpool graduate and still resides in Glenpool with her boyfriend Jason and three children Michael, Grayson, and Presley.
