Parents,
Glenpool Schools will be back in session on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Our maintenance crews have been preparing surfaces each day for our return. Campus roads and walkways are currently in good shape, but with temperatures dropping back below freezing, there may be trouble areas, so we are urging all to be cautious as you bring students to school.
Buses will operate on their regular routes, but there may be slight delays. We are taking extra precautions, and we urge you to communicate to students to be extra careful at bus stops.
We are very excited to be back in session!!

Glenpool Schools will again be on Distance Learning Thursday, January 29, 2026.
It was just determined that the roads are still dangerous for buses and walking students.
We appreciate your patience and willingness to keep our students and staff safe.
Parents,
We are going to have a distance learning day on Wednesday. Our main concerns are the neighborhood roads and parking areas. We were hoping that the sun would help melt this afternoon, but we saw little progress in our areas of concern.
We will keep you posted as soon as decisions are made so you can make appropriate arrangements.
Glenpool Schools will be on a Distance Learning Day on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Students are responsible for work assigned by teachers. Participation (completion) equals attendance. Students, please complete every assignment.
Glenpool Schools will be out on a SNOW DAY Monday, Jan 25, 2026. This is not Distant Learning. Enjoy the day but be safe! Updates for Tuesday will be made when available.
Snow Day! Monday, January 26th. Stay safe and warm Warriors!

We ARE in session today -- normal hours, normal schedules, normal buses. (Friday, Jan 23, 2026)

Our January 2026 Friend of Education is Mr. Vern Wilson. He organized the Elementary's Touch-a-Truck event, bringing many large vehicles for children and families to see up close, helping them learn what makes our world turn.

Join us in celebrating School Board Appreciation Month by thanking the dedicated members of our community who lead Glenpool Schools toward a better, brighter tomorrow. Members include Mike Pendergrass (dist 1), Michael Rhine (dist 2), Courtney Neal (dist 3), William Thayer (dist 4), and Amber Lieser (dist 5).

Glenpool Schools presents Ann Figart, our Support Employee of the Month for January 2026. Ann's primary position is the High School Media Specialist, but she works with all students and teachers, meeting the needs of others on many levels. She is a great asset not only to our school but also to our community.
A colleague writes, "Ann works very hard to accommodate both teachers and students with their needs. She is a responsible, dedicated employee at our school. She wears many hats. Librarian, Sub when needed, research assistant, M Vento aide to all who need her."
Congratulations, Ms. Figart!

Congratulations to Jodi Carr, Glenpool School's Secondary Teacher of the Month for January 2026.
One of Mrs. Carr's colleagues wrote about her, "Jody is starting a new robotics club, taking on the bulk of planning for the veteran's day assembly, and is overall a great teacher. She always has a positive attitude and is quick to lend a helping hand to others. She is such an incredibly valuable person to have on our staff!"

Congratulations to Hollie Koehn, Glenpool School's Elementary Teacher of the Month for January 2026.
One of her colleagues writes, "Hollie is such a phenomenal colleague. She goes above and beyond to jump in wherever help is needed. She has subbed for classes during the first weeks of school, which are crucial for establishing routines and procedures. She is always willing to model effective mathematical strategies to new staff and works tirelessly to ensure that our students know that they can all be a "math person."
